What Information do we collect?

We know for sure you are an interesting and lovely individual. As much as we want to get to know we, even more, value your privacy. Therefore we only collect the information you provide us and only as little as is necessary to provide our service and comply to legislation.
So let’s break this down to the types of information we collect:

  • Your IP-Address:
    For technical reasons every time you visit our website or use our service your IP-Address gets send to our server and will be logged, along with a timestamp, the resource you requested and the result of the request.
    These logs will automatically be cleared after 14 days and will only be used to address technical issues regarding our infrastructure.
    We will not use this data to identify you, contact you or transfer it to third parties
  • Your email address and name:
    If you subscribe to our newsletter we will use your email address and your name to send you information and marketing materials regarding pixelshakes. To do so we use the third-party service MailerLite, you can find their privacy policy here:
    You can always unsubscribe from the mailing list by clicking the button in every mail we send you or by contacting us. If you create a free account for our app we will store and use your email address and name to identify your account. We will not transfer this data to third parties. You can delete your account or contact us if you want this data to be removed.
  • Your billing information:
    If you create a paid account for our app we need to store and process your billing information to fulfil the contract and for legal reasons. We are obligated to store this information at least 10 years after the contract gets fulfilled, cancelled or ends according to Austrian and European legislation.
    We will only share this data with third parties if this is needed to fulfil the contract or for legal compliance.
  • Your payment information:
    If you create a paid account for our app you will be redirected to our payment processor. Currently, we use PayPal to manage payments and subscriptions. You can find their privacy policy here:
    We do not store or process your payment information and will never share them with third parties.


What legal bases do we rely on?

We only process the data we believe to be necessary and have a legal base to provide our services. These legal bases include:

  • Your consent:
    We can only process your information if you have given us your permission. You do so by signing up for our newsletter or creating an account and accepting these terms and conditions. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Please contact us at to do so or if you have any questions.
  • Performance of a Contract:
    We may process your personal information when we believe it is necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations to you, including providing our Services or at your request prior to entering into a contract with you.
  • Legal Obligations:
    We may process your information where we believe it is necessary for compliance with our legal obligations, such as to cooperate with a law enforcement body or regulatory agency, exercise or defend our legal rights, or disclose your information as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.

    We may process your information where we believe it is necessary to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of a third party, such as in situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person.


Do we share your data?

No. We will not share your information with any third party, except the ones listed in this document and any legal agency that requires us to do so.


How long do store your information?

Depending on the type of information we store them for different periods of time.
Your IP-Address is stored for 14 days after your last visit and will be automatically deleted from our log files.
Your email address and name are stored for as long as you remain on our mailing list. You can at any time unsubscribe and have these data removed.
Your billing and contract information will be stored for at least 10 years after fulfilment or end of the contract as we are required by law to do so.


What are your rights?

According to the European GDPR and similar international laws, you have the right to:

  • request access and obtain a copy of your personal information
  • to request rectification or erasure of your data
  • to restrict the processing of your personal information
  • to data portability
  • to object to the processing of your personal information.
  • to complain to the data protection authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde: )

You can make such a request by contacting us. Depending on your request we may not be able to fully comply as we are still bound by other reasons and legislation to keep your data stored. If you object to the processing of needed data we may not be able to fulfil our contract and you will not be able to use our service.


What about cookies?

As we do not collect any personalized information, nor use personalized analytics there is no need to store such cookies on your machine.
If you use the “keep me signed in”-feature a cookie will be stored in your browser to provide this functionality. If you do not agree with this simply do not use this feature.
For statistics, we may use cookies, but these will always be anonymous.
